The short version: Irish Video Poker does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information about you. Everything happens on your own device. The only optional online feature is Apple's Game Center, which is operated by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy.
This Privacy Policy explains how the Irish Video Poker mobile application ("the App", "we", "us") handles your information. Irish Video Poker is operated by David Gildea (trading as addressHQ) as an independent developer based in the United Kingdom.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect any of the following:
- Personal information such as your name, email address, postal address, date of birth, or phone number.
- Account credentials — the App does not have user accounts or logins of its own.
- Location data — the App does not request or use location services, precise or approximate.
- Photos, contacts, calendar entries, or other personal content from your device.
- Payment or financial information — the App is free and contains no purchases.
- Analytics, advertising identifiers, crash reports, or any third-party tracking data.
- Gameplay history or behaviour — we have no servers and receive nothing from the App.
Information stored only on your device
The App stores a small amount of information locally on your device so that the game works between sessions:
- Credit balance: your current number of play credits.
- Free-credit timer: the time at which your balance last reached zero, used to work out when the next free credits are available.
- Preferences: your last chosen game and bet size.
This information never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or to any third party. Deleting the App from your device removes it entirely.
Game Center (optional)
The App supports Apple's Game Center for leaderboards and achievements. If you are signed in to Game Center on your device, the App may submit your best scores (such as your biggest win and highest credit balance) and achievement progress to Game Center.
Game Center is provided and operated by Apple. Your Game Center identity, scores, and achievements are handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive, store, or have access to your Game Center identity or any other information about you through Game Center.
Game Center is entirely optional. If you are not signed in, or you decline to sign in when prompted, the App works fully without it and no scores are submitted anywhere.
Play credits and real money
Irish Video Poker is a game of chance played with virtual credits. Credits have no monetary value, cannot be purchased, and cannot be withdrawn, exchanged, or redeemed for cash, goods, or services. The App does not offer real-money gambling and success in the App does not imply future success at real-money gambling.
Children
Because the App simulates gambling, it is rated 17+ on the Apple App Store and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect any information from children, because we do not collect information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in how the App works or to comply with legal requirements. The most current version will always be available at this URL. We encourage you to review it periodically.
